1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of the TippaMe digital gratuity platform operated by Tippame (PTY) Ltd. By accessing or using TippaMe, you agree to comply with this policy in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
TippaMe is a digital gratuity platform designed exclusively for verified hospitality and service industry professionals operating within legitimate service environments including restaurants, hotels, tourism, salons, and other customer-facing industries where gratuities form a recognised part of customer appreciation.
2. Permitted Use
TippaMe may only be used for:
- Voluntary gratuity payments by customers to verified service professionals for services rendered in a legitimate service industry context
- Registration as a Service Professional operating within a recognised hospitality or service industry role
- Requesting settlement disbursements of accumulated gratuity balances to a verified South African bank account
3. Prohibited Uses
Users of the TippaMe platform may not use the service in connection with any of the following:
- Illegal activity of any kind under South African or applicable law
- Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading conduct
- Money laundering, financial crime, or terrorist financing
- Adult entertainment, escort, or sexually explicit services
- Gambling, sports betting, or lottery activity
- Cryptocurrency exchange, digital asset activity, or NFT transactions
- Hate speech, violent, extremist, or discriminatory content
- Sale of weapons, firearms, ammunition, or explosives
- Sale of narcotics, controlled substances, or prescription medication
- Sale of counterfeit goods or intellectual property infringement
- Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or fraudulent investment solicitation
- Unauthorised fundraising, donation collection, or crowdfunding
- Misrepresentation of identity, role, or employment status
- Collection of payments unrelated to a legitimate service industry gratuity
- Peer-to-peer money transfers between individuals outside a gratuity context
- Donations, crowdfunding, or social gifting
- Creator monetisation, influencer payments, or digital content tipping
- Any payment not directly associated with a verified in-person service interaction
- Any activity that may expose TippaMe or its payment providers to regulatory, legal, or reputational risk
4. Enforcement
TippaMe reserves the right to:
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, without notice
- Delay, reverse, or withhold settlement disbursements pending investigation
- Report suspected violations to relevant authorities, financial institutions, or regulators
- Cooperate with law enforcement and payment providers in connection with investigations
- Monitor platform activity to detect and prevent policy violations
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any misuse of the TippaMe platform, including fraudulent gratuity profiles or suspected financial crime, please report it immediately to:

6. Changes to This Policy
TippaMe reserves the right to update this AUP at any time. Continued use of the platform following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
