TippaMe is a digital gratuity platform that facilitates voluntary, one-time gratuity payments from customers to verified service professionals for services rendered. All gratuity payments processed through TippaMe are final upon successful transaction confirmation.
By submitting a gratuity payment through TippaMe, you acknowledge that the payment is voluntary and made in recognition of a service experience. Gratuity payments are generally non-refundable once a transaction has been successfully processed and confirmed.
Refunds or reversals may be reviewed and processed in the following circumstances:
To request a review, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction date at support@tippame.com with your transaction reference and details of the issue. All refund requests are subject to investigation and outcome is not guaranteed.
If you believe an unauthorised payment was made using your card or account, please contact your bank or card issuer directly to initiate a chargeback investigation. TippaMe cooperates fully with all legitimate chargeback and fraud investigations conducted by payment providers and financial institutions.
Fraudulent chargeback claims may result in account suspension and reporting to relevant authorities.
Once a settlement disbursement has been processed and transferred to a Service Professional's verified bank account, TippaMe is generally unable to reverse or recall the payment. Settlement disbursements may be subject to review, delay, or reversal in cases of fraud, compliance investigation, or error, in accordance with applicable payment provider rules and South African law.
All card and EFT transactions are processed by our accredited PCI DSS compliant payment processing provider. Refunds and reversals on card transactions are subject to the rules and timelines of the relevant card scheme (Visa, Mastercard) and the payment processor.
